Again Starvation Death in Attappady..!!

(Mangalam Daily. Story Dated: Sunday, August 10, 2014 01:01)

Agali, Attappady, Kerala (India): Attappady Trbal colony is the most neglected part of India and starvation deaths are a continuous story here. Mostly infant deaths due to malnutrition and starvation are quite common here.

Now, one more incident of starvation death of a child is reported from Attappady. A 6 months old baby of Mrs. Kamala (Vattalakkur, Sholayar Panchayath) died due to malnutrition and starvation. Since more and more such incidents are being reported, it is now beyond doubt that all the measures which were initiated by the Government were all mere hoax. It was in the year 2013 that maximum number of infant-child deaths were reported. when it crossed 50 incidents, the Kerala Government had declared special remedial packages for attappady. But recently many Govt. officials who were sincerely working for the betterment of the Tribals were got transferred from this areas due to pressure from the Land mafia. The land mafia has special interest on snatching the trbal people's land, by influencing the Govt. and carrying out a genocide by throwing the tribals into starvation deaths, rapes, liquor and drugs and thus exterminating them slowly.
